AIB wins bronze in Vimean Samnang Cup

AIB Youth Football Team defeated Cambodia for Christ Football Club 10-1 to win the third place play off in the Viemean Samnang Cup 2023. The Acleda Institute of Business Football Team raised to a 7-0 score line in the first half before adding 3 more goals in the second half. CFC scored a consolation goal.

Earlier in the day, AIB youth team lost in the semifinals 3-1 to Khmer United Vietnam FC. Khmer United Cambodia Defeated CFC 10-0 in the second semifinals before going on to win Khmer United Vietnam to become champions of the Tournament.

The tournament which was hosted at the AIB Sports Ground was organized by Khmer Real Estate and sponsored by Vimean Samnang.

"We did our best, our team is young as we are just trying out the new players, we hope they can learn from this experience to do better in the future" Coach Tola said after lifting the 3rd place trophy.
